These nest egg gourds are wood-burned specifically with Ukrainian pysanka (pysanky) eggs in mind. The gourds were grown by me from seed, then green-scraped to allow for a lovely smooth patina. These OOAK pieces have been meticulously wood-burned with designs ready for you to leave as is or to color in whatever way you desire. Gourds take most colorfast permanent markers, many paints, and leather dyes. After coloring, you will likely want to finish off with a spray lacquer to protect your finished gourd. These would look lovely gathered into a basket on your table.

Because their skins vary in thickness and texture the wood-burning process isn't always exact. Therefore, you should expect some differences in line thickness of the design as well as in the color of the gourd shell.
